About

The Beaver Valley Cycling Club (BVCC) was founded in 2023 by a group of passionate cyclists from the Beaver Valley Ski Club (BVSC). The BVCC entered into an agreement with the BVSC to build a network of mountain bike trails on BVSC property to help entrench the Beaver Valley region as the best four-season destination in Ontario. The vision for these trails includes a multi-phased buildout that will ultimately tie into the existing Kimberley Forest trails to the North of the ski club. Ground was broken on the trail network early in the summer of 2023, and expansion efforts have been underway ever since thanks to the generous financial contributions and volunteer efforts of members.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to be a member of the Beaver Valley Ski Club to ride the trails?

No, you do not have to be a member of BVSC.  You DO have to either be a member of BVCC, or have joined with a Day Pass, AND you must have signed a waiver.  Failure to do the aforementioned will mean that you are trespassing, and you will be at your own risk.

Where can I park to access the trails?

The Beaver Valley Cycling Club trails can be accessed from the top and bottom of the Beaver Valley Resort property. Users may park in the Beaver Valley Ski Club’s upper or lower parking lots to access the trails.

Where can I stay overnight nearby?

There are an abundance of beautiful bed and breakfasts, hotels and vacation rentals in the surrounding area. The Grey County Tourism website is a great resource for anyone looking for accommodation.

Can I camp or stay overnight in one of the parking areas?

Overnight camping is not permitted on Beaver Valley Ski Club property.

I found a good spot for a trail. Can I build my own trail on the property?

There is no “rogue” trail building allowed at Beaver Valley. The ski club has graciously allowed the cycling club to build and maintain a previously agreed upon network of trails. If you’re excited about trail building, contact us and get involved with one of our trail work days to find out how you can contribute to approved projects.

How can I contribute or get involved with the Beaver Valley Cycling Club?

The cycling club is 100% funded by community grants and private donations. If you’d like to volunteer your time or make a monetary contribution, details can be found on the Support page of our website.
